Damascus Chamber of Agriculture and Damascus University Sign MoU to Develop Production and Supply the Market with Expertise

The Damascus and Damascus Countryside Chamber of Agriculture and the Faculty of Agriculture at Damascus University signed today a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for joint academic and field cooperation, aiming to support agricultural production development plans and supply the local market with qualified scientific competencies.

The memorandum includes providing training and practical qualification opportunities for the faculty's students to enable them to acquire the necessary field expertise, and opening new horizons and job opportunities for agricultural engineers and fresh graduates.

The two sides agreed to establish a joint framework to implement qualitative programs and projects that contribute to developing the agricultural sector, and enhance integration between educational institutions and professional bodies concerned with agricultural affairs.

The Chairman of the Damascus and Damascus Countryside Chamber of Agriculture emphasized that the MoU aims to exchange expertise and knowledge between the Chamber and the faculty, and to support projects and programs that positively reflect on increasing productivity and improving the quality of local agricultural products
