Lantana camara
It is a shrub that can reach a height of 3 meters. It is grown for several purposes, including hedges, its fragrant scent, and its beautiful flowers, which are a cluster of up to 30 multi-colored, dome-shaped flowers.
Care:
Water daily during the summer and less frequently during the winter. Fertilize once a year. It can be pruned in the fall before winter to encourage flowering. It can be shaped as desired.
It can be grown in a variety of soil types, as long as the soil is rich and well-drained.
It is advisable to clear the areas below and around the shrub of plant debris and seeds to prevent dense plant growth, resulting in an irregular and somewhat chaotic appearance, and to prevent harmful insects from gathering. This process should be repeated three or four times annually, preferably by turning the soil over (weeding) with a tiller each time.
Propagation
It propagates by seeds, but can also be propagated by stem cuttings during the spring.
