Localizing Biofertilizer Production in Syria: Launch of the "Bloom" Project in Rural Damascus

The Directorate of Agriculture in Rural Damascus, in cooperation with the Chamber of Agriculture of Damascus and its Countryside, held an expanded meeting to discuss prospects for cooperation in the field of biofertilizer production and improving agricultural soil properties in Syria. The company presented the project "Bloom – Biofertilizer Opportunity Syria," which aims to localize the biofertilizer industry within Syria, reduce reliance on imports, restore soil fertility, and decrease the use of chemical fertilizers by up to 50%. The attendees agreed to form a joint working group, select pilot areas in Rural Damascus, and draft an official Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) within a month
