Ministerial and Research Meeting to Develop the Poultry Sector in Aleppo
In line with the Ministry of Agriculture's commitment to developing the livestock sector and boosting poultry production, an official meeting was held. The meeting included the Deputy Minister of Agriculture for Livestock Affairs, Dr. Ayham Abdel Qader, and the Director of Aleppo Agriculture, Engineer Firas Mohamed Said, with the participation of Saudi poultry expert Dr. Yasser Azzawi, alongside the poultry farmers' committee and investors in the sector.
The meeting reviewed the current state of the poultry sector and the challenges facing farmers and investors. Discussions focused on major obstacles, including high production costs and the difficulty of securing breeding supplies—particularly fodder—as well as marketing challenges and the impact of current economic conditions on operational continuity. Attendees also listened to feedback from farmers regarding field obstacles and discussed several proposals and solutions aimed at supporting and enhancing the stability of this vital sector
